When Michala Benton won her case for a mis-sold packaged bank account from Lloyds Bank she knew exactly what she wanted to do – to give her disabled daughter Isabella a special birthday party and take her and her three sisters away on holiday.
Said Michala: “Isabella suffers with complex epilepsy where she has at least 3 seizures a night, she requires 24/7 care and has severe global development delay. We used the money to give Isabella a wonderful birthday and then took her and her sisters Amie, Daisy and Molly for a week’s holiday in Marmaris, Turkey.
“It was lovely – so nice to spend some quality time with all the family,” she said.
Michala had no idea whether or not she had been mis-sold her Lloyds packaged bank account, but her claim via Churchill Sloan found she had been mis-sold and Lloyds paid her £2,019.03 compensation.
Michala’s story made her a triple Money Moments prize winner. Between June 27th and July 31st she won:
- £25 Great Story Prize (voted for by Churchill Sloan staff)
- £100 People’s Choice Prize (based on most ‘likes’ on the Money Moments web page by general public)
- £500 Judge’s Favourite (chosen by Toby King of Warrington Wolves)
Now we’re about to start Money Moments Round 2 where our successful clients can submit their own stories for the chance to win £500 as the Judge’s Favourite or one of 3 x £100 prizes for the ‘most liked’ entries, plus 8 x £25 prizes for ‘great stories’.
